On Saturday night in Delhi’s Welcome, after a minor quarrel, some youths stabbed Mohammad Qasim (24) in the stomach and waist. Police took Qasim to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. Welcome police station has registered a case of murder and is searching for the attackers. Police is trying to identify the accused with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby.
According to the police, Qasim lived with his family in Shaitan Chowk, Janta Colony, Welcome. The family has brothers Salman, Mohsin and Danish, besides two sisters. His father Mohammad Raheem died six years ago and mother Saira died four years ago. Qasim used to do small jobs. At night, Qasim was standing at the square of Vinod Pehelwan street. Meanwhile, he got into an altercation with some unknown boys.
During this, the boys attacked with a knife. After stabbing him three times in the stomach and waist, the accused fled. The police took Qasim to Jag Pravesh Chand Hospital. He was declared dead here. It is not known who the attackers were and why they stabbed him. The police is investigating the case by interrogating people present near the spot.
