In the year 2018, a research was done on Zamzam water. This research was done by the team of Geology Professor Abbas Sharaqi of African Research Institute. According to this, this 30 meter deep well had water up to 13 meters and rocks up to 17 meters. This research revealed that the source of Zamzam water is renewable water. Actually, Mecca is a mountainous region, there are many valleys in this region. One of these valleys is Ibrahim Valley where Zamzam water is.
When it rains, the water collects in this valley and then reaches Zamzam water through the surface. This is the reason why water is always present here. Apart from this, the secret behind the water not getting exhausted here is that this water is not exploited much. It is used only for drinking. Agriculture is not done with the water of Zamzam water nor is this water used for any other purpose.
